San Antonio

We had a good time in San Antonio. It was one of the few opportunities we had in the US to just relax and do whatever we wanted. We started out Sunday night just wandering around the RiverWalk and getting a feel of San Antonio. On Monday, we took the bus to Market Square for some touristy shopping and Mexican food.

From there, we headed to the River Walk. After a few drinks at Dick's Last Resort, we went to Hooter's for cheap wings and more beer.

At around 6, we went to Durty Nellie's, an Irish sing-a-long piano bar, where we proceeded to make a really bad impression on as many people as possible.

After we had been there for awhile, the place got pretty crowded, so we invited another couple to come sit at our table. When the couple at the next table got up to leave, we convinced the lady to stay while her husband headed back to the hotel to prepare for an early flight. That's how we met Simon and Christy and Amy.

We don't have any pictures of the next day (good thing), but we wondered around town a little bit and saw the Alamo before catching the plane to St. Louis.
